I Love My Dogs, Horses, I’m Disappointed – Moyes Speaks On Zouma’s Case

The Scot went on to insist that his decision to pick Kurt Zouma for the win over Watford was because he had to use his best players available for every game.

The manager said it was a total disappointment what he saw in the video and what he was told about the whole cat-kicking shame.

To the frustration of many animal lovers around the world, the France international was named in the starting line-up despite a police enquiry into a video showing him dropping, kicking and slapping his pet cat.

Zouma tasted the outcry as his every touch was relentlessly booed by the Watford fans on Tuesday and when the 27-year-old hit the deck after a challenge with Joshua King, the supporters sang “that’s how your cat felt.”

“I’m really disappointed, and the club have taken all the action they can do at the moment behind the scenes. My job is to pick the best team and Kurt was part of that,” Moyes told reporters.

“I’m a big animal lover and it’s something that will have affected a lot of people. I was completely disappointed with what I saw and what I was told.

“I’m someone who cares a lot about my dogs and my horses.”

Moyes assured the club will take tight action and pleaded with fans, describing the matter as a “really poor situation.”

“The club are dealing with it. Kurt is in our first XI so my decision was to play him,”

He added.
