BBN ex-housemate, Maria has received heavy backlash from Sophia, Toolz and other Nigerians for promoting bleaching with her Hush AD.
The ad was a part of the endorsement deal she signed with the skincare brand, however, Nigerians didn’t appreciate the concept of the ad.
According to Sophia, the Hush Ad was clearly promoting bleaching. Sophia said the ad didn’t just promote bleaching, it also indirectly told young girls that they aren’t beautiful if they are dark-skinned.
She revealed that the brand made her angrier when they decided to make use of dark-skinned cast and it was irritating to see them amazed by Maria’s beauty all thanks to the bleaching cream she used.
Reacting to Sophia’s post, Toolz agreed that the concept of the ad was horrible, completely tone-deaf and extremely cringe-worthy. She tagged the skincare brand to see that she isn’t the only one who felt insulted by their ad.
